Forest Training
At New School, education is designed to allow children to have direct contact with flora and fauna.
Students learn to understand ecosystems, develop environmental awareness, and respect biodiversity by observing plant and animal life in natural environments.
As part of the weekly program, children have nature-based learning experiences under the guidance of their teachers after breakfast on Wednesday mornings.
They participate in outdoor activities throughout the four seasons with appropriate rainsuits and boots. These experiences support children's curiosity, observation, and problem-solving skills.
The approach implemented is consistent with the principles of learning in nature. Within this framework, children actively interact with natural materials, make observations, and learn through experiences.
Active participation, learning through experience, holistic development, environmental awareness, teacher guidance, and a planned and flexible program form the basic building blocks of the process.
This approach holistically supports children's cognitive, emotional, and social development. Continuous interaction with nature strengthens the permanence of learning and nourishes children's environmental awareness and curiosity.
